Your hosts, Jeff & Marilyn are next door in the main house and keep a very low profile, but are available anytime for anything you might need or if you need suggestions of things to do in Abiquiu and the surrounding areas.

In front- North-South views of Sierra Negra, Sangre de Cristo mountains in the distance, A circular dirt road with plenty of parking in front of the Casita. Front entrance, A rock walled courtyard with Dining table/benches- Market umbrella.  Bird feeders, that attract Blue Jays, Bluebirds, Quail, Doves, Roadrunners and lots of Hummingbirds (Chuparosas)! and outside the wall, Lots of Jack Rabbits, Cottontails, Many types of lizards and Sightings, Coyotes , Foxes and Big Horned Owls.

In back- Back entrance, 4' high completely fenced in Courtyard, Dining table-chairs, BBQ, Outdoor fireplace, Covered portal (patio) Deck, Dimming Outdoor Ceiling lights, Candles. Great Sunset Views and views of the Pedernal, Jemez Mountains and The Chama River Valley! Our new Hot Tub is located on an elevated deck on a knoll overlooking the Rio Chama Valley and Abiquiu with amazing sunset views and wildlife.

Organic Cafe Mam Coffee and Organic decaf ground coffee & beans (Click for info), We home roast our coffee beans daily for our guests! Assorted organic herbal and regular teas, Chai tea, Hot Coco Mix with marshmallows, Organic Eggs- Farm fresh in warmer months. 3-4  types of Bagels,  Artisan breads for toast and french toast,  Organic half/half, Soy Milk, Butter, Cream cheese, Local Organic Honey, Lemons,  Organic Jams- Jellies, New Mexico Green Chiles, Instant and Steel Cut Oatmeal,  Pancake and Waffle mixes and real Maple syrup! (Professional style rotating Belgian Waffle Maker) Cold bottled waters.

For a complete breakfast, we advise bringing  Juices, Breakfast Meats for the carnivores and Milk.  Bode's General Store in Abiquiu stocks these items, including Organic Produce and meats or stop at Whole Foods, Wild Oats or Trader Joes on the way through Santa Fe.

The Casita Refrigerator is stocked with condiments: Butter, Organic Ketchup, Mustards & Mayo.  Lemons-Limes, Martini Olives, Pantry is stocked with lots of spices, baking items, Flour- Soy flour, bread crumbs, Baking powder, Baking soda, Organic Sugar, Olive Oil, Cooking Oil,  Balsamic Vinegar, Cooking spray.  Paper Towels, Dinner Napkins, Biodegradable Dish + Hand Soap + Laundry Detergent.

Individually wrapped sanitized Sponges, Dish Towels, Organic Non Toxic Cleaning supplies and many Gourmet and Celebrity Chef Cookbooks! Washer Dryer with Biodegradable Detergents-fabric softeners and dryer sheets.

Full Bath has a Tub/Shower combo with Pedestal sink and Organic hand soaps, shower gel and lotions. Heater, Blow dryer, Bath scale, light dimmer, candles and plenty of fluffy towels!

We use only organic cleaners-organic soaps in our Casita and NO toxic pesticides inside and outside for those of you with Chemical sensitivities. All wood floors, NO draperies, Honeycomb-non allergic pull down privacy blinds on all windows. Walls painted with No VOC Clay Paints, Casita is throughly cleaned meticulously, between Guest visits. We use a HEPA filter vacuum.

Hiking, Biking, Trails & Horses- Hundreds of miles of hiking - riding - biking trails outside your front door.  The Casita is also walking distance  to BLM lands. If you bring your own horses, you can ride away into our magnificent sunrise just as well as into our dramatic sunset.

Horse facilities include a 2 acre turnout area. Next to our 2 horses in their separate corrals. With turnaround  for your horse trailer.  We provide carrots for you in your Casita Kitchen to feed our 2  horses, if you so desire!  No charge for your horses!

We can arrange for Horses for hire to ride on our trails or anywhere in Abiquiu. In addition to your horses.....We gladly welcome your well behaved, clean pet!
